We drive to Luče (from Mozirje or over Kranjski rak) and then towards Logarska dolina. When we come to Robanov kot, marks for alpine valley Robanov kot direct us to left. We direct on this road and follow it till first parking lot by marking boards where we park. There is another parking lot a kilometre away but you have to pay to park (2€).

Robanov kot je že od leta 1950 zavarovan kot naravna znamenitost (Ur.l. LRS št. 7/50) za kar je veliko prispeval ljudski pisec Joža Vršnik - Robanov. Od leta 1987 pa je dolina zavarovana kot krajinski park.

We enjoyed 3 nights in Robanov Kot in mid-November and were lucky to have beautiful sunny weather to explore the valley and neighboring Logarska Dolina. Robanov kot je pravi skriti biser med slovenskimi alpskimi dolinami, saj je precej manj obljuden kot sosednja Logarska dolina. Zaradi naravnih lepot, miru in odmaknjenosti od cest je prava oaza sredi gora, zato se je tu dediščina gorskih samotnih kmetij ohranila vse do danes – tu ne boste našli počitniški hiš, le klene gorske kmetije.
